Thanks to the all the donors, local companies and volunteers who contribute to United Way Blackhawk Region. Beloit Meals on Wheels is proud to be the recipient of a $150,000 community grant for the 24-month funding cycle, July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021, which will help subsidize meal service costs to our most vulnerable Beloit seniors. Beloit Meals on Wheels Board of Directors President, Chuck Wilson, added, “we are grateful to partner with United Way as our board, staff, volunteers, and community partners work to make sure no Beloit home bound senior goes hungry.
Data obtained by Beloit Meals on Wheels indicates that 96% of clients receiving Meals on Wheels said the program helps them eat healthier, provides a sense of security, improves their quality of life and they are able to continue to live independently in their own home.
