Beloit Meals on Wheels benefits from “Subaru Share the Love Event”

We wanted to let you know about an exciting event that is near and dear to our organization’s heart: the Subaru Share the Love Event. Over the past ten years, Subaru and its retailers have helped Meals on Wheels to deliver nearly 2 million meals nationwide to seniors in need through their Subaru Share the Love Event.

Blizzard Boxes Delivered  this month

In celebration of the Subaru Share the Love Event, Beloit Meals on Wheels is again distributing Blizzard Boxes to our home bound Beloit seniors thanks to donations received from Seneca Foods, Hormel, Beloit Culver’s, Walgreen’s on Broad Street, Frito Lay, Tricor Insurance, North Atlantic Bag, and St. James School. The blizzard boxes contain non-perishables that’s delivered to our clients that can be stored away to eat if the weather prevents regular meal delivery. We have only missed three meal delivery days in 47 years, but Mother Nature can be unpredictable, so that’s why we put together these blizzard boxes.

Purchase or Lease a new Subaru and Beloit MOW receives a donation!

Starting November 15, 2018, through January 2, 2019, for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased, Subaru will donate $250 to the customer’s choice of participating charities. Meals on Wheels is one of four national participating charities and has been since the inception of the event. Through this event, and as a member of Meals on Wheels America, Beloit Meals on Wheels will receive a share of the donation from Subaru vehicles sold in Wisconsin.

Last year, Beloit Meals on Wheels received $5,000 by participating in this event!
