  • During our March for Meals campaign, Fairbanks Morse held an employee 50/50 promotion and raised $885 for our organization – thanks Fairbanks Morse!
  • United Way Blackhawk Region (UWBR) recently notified us that Rock County received just over $162,000 of federal funding for the Emergency Food & Shelter. UWBR is the facilitator of these funds and open the application process to local nonprofits. Beloit Meals on Wheels applied for both grants and received a total of $17,000 these funds will go towards meal service costs and purchasing emergency meals for our clients.
  • First National Bank donated a $1,000 grant to Beloit Meals on Wheels as part of the Federal Home Loan Bank COVID-19 Relief Program. Thank you for supporting the important work we do in the community!
  • We implemented a new program called “Care Calls for Clients” in response to the pandemic. Even though our seniors need physical distance, they also need social connection more than ever. This program will provide that check in with our seniors in a way to ease their loneliness!
  • We received a $13,011 Capacity Building Grant from United Way Blackhawk Region and their Community Impact Council. This grant will expand our meal service by allowing us to add another route and offset the cost of providing additional meals to our seniors for the rest of the year. We are truly grateful for UWBR and their continued support as we meet the needs of our senior community members!
