Join us locally in Beloit as we host the annual March for Meals campaign to celebrate the seniors in our community, bring awareness to senior hunger, promote volunteerism, and raise funds to serve more seniors in need of our services. The annual March for Meals month-long celebration commemorates the historic day on March 22, 1972, when President Nixon signed into law a measure that amended the Older Americans Act of 1965 to include a national nutrition program for seniors 60 years and older.

This year, Meals on Wheels programs from across the country are joining forces for the awareness campaign to garner the support needed to ensure these critical programs can continue to address food insecurity and malnutrition, combat social isolation, enable independence, and improve health for years to come.

So, come out and help us celebrate March for Meals. By volunteering, attending an event, donating or speaking out, you can ensure Beloit seniors in your neighborhood can live healthier, happy and independent lives at home, where they want to be.
