Annual Report Letter from Board President Paulette Christensen
This first year as the president of the Beloit Meals on Wheels Board has gone quickly and has been a learning experience. Much of our success is because of the team of dedicated people I’ve been so very fortunate to work with. I’d like to take a moment and thank my fellow board members for their continuing support and especially our director, Ellen, our staff and all of the volunteers that allow us to continue our operation 7 days a week/365 days a year to provide a very much needed service to our community.
We have so many people behind the scenes that make our fund-raisers, like March for Meals and Mushing for Meals such awesome successes. I would like to thank all local businesses and volunteers for their continued support with these events. We hope Jeff Johnson never stops assisting with the Mushing for Meals; his organizational skills are so essential. We have a seen a rise in the need for meals and with that an associated rise in cost. We have many new funding challenges, as does any non-profit organization.
However, I’m confident that in the coming year we can succeed at this.
Any and all donations are accepted for Beloit Meals on Wheels. We will be sending out our Gift of Love letters soon asking for donations.
I look forward to serving as President for the 2016 /2017 year.
