Getting the flu can be a nasty experience, no matter what your age or general health. Those 65 years and older are at greater risk of serious complications from the flu as immune defenses became weaker with age. This year, Walgreens on Broad Street is partnering with Beloit Meals On Wheels to help protect homebound Beloit seniors this flu season by providing in-home vaccinations. A Walgreens pharmacist will make a home visit to Beloit Meals On Wheels clients to administer the flu shot. This is another example of how community partners are working together to better serve our neighbors. Thanks to Walgreens for making this available at the corner of Happy & Healthy®, and everywhere in between for our local seniors.
